The Department of Political Science of Haji Anfar Ali College was established in the same year of establishment of the college i.e. 1986. Since its establishment, this department has been sincerely imparting and spreading higher education in Assam and especially in Jamunamukh Constituency. The department of Political Science has extraordinary fame because over the years it has been producing many illustrious personalities including academicians, lawyers, journalists, businessman, literate, social activists etc. The performance of the department is excellent in examination. In every final examination the students of the college show satisfactory result and many often it is even higher than that of our affiliated Guwahati University TDC Results. The students particularly the girls have shaped themselves with a sense of marked discipline to meet the challenges of their future. Mission: The mission of the department is to impart higher education to the youth (10 + 2) of Doboka and its rural neighborhood specially girls inculcating their innate talents and qualities and upholding their potentialities through curricular and extracurricular activities. Vision: Empowered the rural youths in all aspects so as to make them equipped to compete the challenges in the new world.
